My name is Tim Haifley. I’m the founder and owner of Advanced Flooring Professionals. My experience in Flooring dates back to 1994 when I began as a young helper, installing flooring for Dan Spires Floor Covering in Waycross, GA.  Much has changed about the industry since that time, and yet we’ve stayed one step ahead. One of the best pieces of business advice I received was from my grandfather when I was still in high school. He told me that the first and most important attribute of any successful entrepreneur is integrity. Without integrity, any business is destined for failure. I took that to heart and began a new business adventure installing flooring for the people and businesses of Tallahassee area in July of 2001. Each new day and each new customer brings us more fulfillment in our goal of absolute excellence on every level. Of course, we work to bring a full service and professional experience to each new project, perfecting our skills and rising to the top of our industry, but most importantly, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in the areas that truly count:

What To Expect

What should you expect?
Upon reaching out to us, you will talk with a competent and cheerful professional, eager to include You in our family of clients. We will work immediately to find the appropriate time when the Owner, Tim Haifley, can personally meet with you in your home or project location to get a complete picture of your expectations, measurements and quantities, as well as provide you with any necessary options and suggestions for the best possible fulfillment of your project that brings the highest possible value to your property and your lifestyle to follow. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have, address any concerns that are specific to your application, consult and recommend appropriate flooring selections and even suggest the best local sources available.

On the appointed day, we’ll spend whatever time necessary to walk through your property, addressing every detail of the project and discussing the proper choice and cost of necessary materials as well as the sequence of services including demolition, security, preparation, installation, application and completion. You’ll then be given a proposal of the work as it was discussed, explaining in line-item detail the individual processes and all costs associated with each. This is very important because it allows you understand the details of the process and to make your own decisions as to which items you might want us to complete, and which tasks you might want to handle yourself. 

Without delay, a detailed work order will be written for the benefit of the crew assigned to your project, so that, on the day we are scheduled to begin, every person will be completely up to speed on what is expected. During the duration of the work, we must also keep a line of communication open to ensure that we are always on the same page on every facet of the job. We understand that as the work progresses, challenges and demands arise that might change the scope of the job or add items to the task list. We are happy to discuss these changes in real time and make immediate recommendations and cost analysis for you to make the appropriate decisions.

Keep in mind, it is also our goal to always get competent professionals to handle every part of your job that we are entrusted with, from the demolition and disposal of existing materials to the painting and cleaning at the end, and everything in between. For example, an accomplished and experienced Trim Guy will be responsible for all necessary trim work; a skilled and competent Painter will handle all the painting; and even the final dusting and cleaning will be done by a professional cleaning crew at the end. 

If it is your wish, we prefer to handle every part of the scope of work. We are equipped and prepared to remove and dispose of all materials, prep your home to contain our dust as necessary, level and prepare the subfloor and wall surfaces, install the new material with the proper setting materials and adhesives, move and protect your furniture and appliances, install and caulk all trim and base as necessary, replace your furniture and appliances in their proper places (i.e. toilets, water heaters, vanities, washing machines and dryers), and coordinate a complete dusting and cleaning of all affected areas of your home. However, as invasive and extensive as this process might be, we want to always keep in mind that this workplace is also your Home, and that we must constantly be mindful of your needs. It will always be a priority to us that we make the entire process as least invasive and displacing to you as possible.
